Peggle Obsession

I. am. obsessed. with. Peggle.

The timing isn't quite right; with exams in less than a week, and I find myself unable to control the urge to double click on the P icon on my desktop for some Peggle distraction. But it's amazing! The soundtrack is definitely well crafted - it's got catchy clips and head moving bass lines, and get this, the climax of every round (when attaining a 'Fever Score') is set to one of Beethoven's epic symphonies.

PopCap games welcomes you to the start of a new day: the smiling sun rises happily over a green hillside, illuminating big, friendly letters spelling out Peggle. Once you've registered your name, Bjorn, the master unicorn, helps you get started on your 'adventure', consisting of ten levels, with five sub-levels in each. Once a level is completed, a new character is unlocked complete with unique special powers. What you actually have to do is quite simple. The point of the game is to get rid of all the orange pegs, and to do that, you simply aim a ball, (albeit with a more strategy as the levels get harder) in the goal at hitting as many pegs as possible, which rack up to hundreds, thousands of points depending on how many you hit. The graphics are more simply made, though cute and amusing all the same.

Here is a short clip of a master gamer, destroying.

For non-gamers and gamers alike, Peggle is irresistably addictive.
